Enjoy Gorgeous Cape Town Apartments

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

Oh you KNOW you want one don’t you; a Cape Town holiday offering carefree days and sparkling nights with lots of things to see and do. Family and friends keep telling you to rest, so what’s better than flying over to Cape Town for a restful holiday.

Ok, for the next minute, lean back, and day dream without a care in the world. Just try to think about some lovely beach, filled with clear water lapping at your feet, sun burning down on you and knowing you are free. Ok, so all you have to do now is imagine what type of swim wear is appropriate to wear and show of that body of yours, or more likely soak up the sun. Now you with me? Thought so :-)

Just think how cool it would be strolling beside the sea, feeling the gorgeous heat on your skin, fresh sea air and waves crashing on the shores. Oh man, isn’t that marvelous? Over here in the UK, we’ve been experiencing everything but that kind of weather. Snow, check, wind and rain, check. Everything but lovely hot weather. I appreciate you are reading this thinking maybe I’m going a little over the town and maybe, just maybe, I’m in love with Cape Town. I guess your right lol and I just need myself a holiday. Whenever I travel to Cape Town either by myself or with others, like friends and family, I always try to cover as much ground as possible. To give you some idea, think about all the water sports, places to visit, things to try out and eat. You have to make it a point to search for sea shells on the beach, after all they tell stories about their ocean journeys to those who would listen.

Cape Town holidays are magic in the making. They’re magic in your eyes and in your heart. Not a day will go by when you are on your Cape Town holiday where you don’t discover something exciting and fun to do. There is never a dull moment to be had on a Cape Town holiday.

Cape Town Villas

One thing I have always wanted as I have got older is to spend time with the people I care about. Friends, family and travel experiencing new adventures with them. I would also recommend you consider checking out some other very enjoyable places like Camps Bay, Marrakech Riads and Fes Riads. Again, just to make a point from earlier, regardless who you travel with, always find time for going with friends, family and people you care for as this is often what makes these experiences go from good to great. Experiences create memories and who best to share them with than the people you are closet with.

Now that you’ve caught the spirit of a Cape Town holiday, open your eyes, book your flight and accommodations and then start marking off the days on your calendar. I can almost smell the sea air now, feel the wind through my hair and taste the culture with each cell on me. That’s the stuff dreams are made of!

Recommendations to Stay Healthy on a Cruise Trip

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

Along with the glamour and fun associated with cruise travel comes a real need to be aware of your personal health and safety. If you’re concerned about health and safety issues on board a cruise ship, keep reading for great tips on how to stay well during your next cruise vacation.

1. Check a Boat’s Report Card

The Vessel Sanitation Program operates through the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Their job is to inspect ships regularly. They look for cleanliness issues, food storage facilities, food preparation methods, water sanitation, hygiene, pest control and a ship’s disease prevention methods.

After the Vessel Sanitation Program inspects a ship, they issue a report card. That report card is then made available on the Center for Disease Control and Prevention web site. So, before you book your next cruise, research and read your proposed ship’s report card and check their score.

2. Visit Your Doctor Before You Depart

Make an appointment with your family doctor at least a few weeks before you’re scheduled to depart. Be sure you have all necessary vaccinations that will be required, an extra supply of your medication and, if you have specific health problems, a copy of your medical chart.

For cruise vacationers who need a yellow fever vaccination, you may want to plan farther in advance to book a vaccination at a local public health or travel clinic.

3. Be Diligent About Germs

Remember that a cruise ship is an enclosed space holding a lot of people. Germs and disease can spread quickly on board a ship, so take precautions like always keep your shoes or a pair of flip-flops on at all times, use hand sanitizer regularly (carry some in your pocket) and wash your hands often.

4. Watch What You Eat and Drink

Cruise ships are typically safe for water and food, but if you’re planning on any shore excursions, only drink bottled water and try to only eat at reputable and “safe” restaurants. You don’t want your cruise adventure tarnished by a bout of food poisoning.

5. Put Your Children’s Safety First

If you’re booking a cruise with your children, even a “kid’s cruise,” always be aware of the cruise line’s policies regarding child safety. Ask them about how they screen their child care employees, whether or not all crew are required to have first aid certification and - even if you’re cruising with the best - always be aware of where your children are on board at all times.

Finding Inexpensive Airfares during Peak Seasons

Monday, March 16th, 2009

Although people love to travel cheap and want to avail those opportunities that offer cheap airfares and special airfare deals, but unfortunately most of these packages and offers are available for off-peak seasons only. This is because airlines try to sell out their tickets when the seats are not fully taken and they want to schedule a flight. During peak seasons there is no need to do so since people from all around the country are flying here and there to make the most of their holidays and other special occasions. You might think there is absolutely no way of avoiding extremely expensive airfares during peak seasons. I say extremely expensive because airlines tend to increase their rates during holidays and special occasions like Christmas. In this article we will explore how to find cheap airfares during peak seasons. Refer to Travel Deals for more information.

The first option is to book in advance. When the time gets near ticket rates go sky-high because of the number of people wanting to travel at the same exact days. No matter how you plan your trip you end up being excessively charged to spend a holiday season out of your city or country. But the problem with this option of flying cheaper is that sometimes you just cant manage to plan your trip way in advance. Either you are not sure whether you would be flying on those days or not, or you are called at the last day to attend a wedding or to meet relatives at a suddenly-planned reunion. What would you do then? Go to Vacation Packages for more information.

One way to avoid peak-time airfares is to book a one-year open seat on the flight to your intended destination. This works not only with national airlines but with international airlines as well. What you do is buy a one-year open return ticket and upon arriving at your destination location you throw this ticket away and buy another one-year open ticket with a return day somewhere in the next few months to come. This does cost you more than regular fares but it saves you a lot when you have to fly during peak seasons and there is no other option available.

Yet another way is to search the Internet for air travel consolidators in your area who will help you find an inexpensive flight in high season. You can also try to locate airlines that have special deals listed on their packages for high seasons. These airlines might not be available at your location, so the trick is to fly at the location from where they have a cheap flight scheduled to your destination location or somewhere closer. Once you are on a website that lets you search for inexpensive flights you will find out a lot of indirect routes to your destination. Traveling this way is sometimes cheaper than traveling direct, especially in high season.

Consolidator packages sometimes include air-hotel offers in which you have to pay not only for the ticket but for hotel accommodations as well (which you may not be willing to avail). However, you can search for air-only packages during peak seasons. Many companies are offering air-only as well as air-hotel cheap packages to their customers to let them travel affordably. Dog Friendly Motel and Hotel Accomodations Around the World

Tuesday, March 10th, 2009

People can be highly attached to their animals, and want to bring them with wherever they might go. This isn’t difficult to understand since many people consider their animals part of their family, and on a family vacation everyone goes along for the ride. Bringing your pet along is possible in many places you might decide to go since there are pet friendly hotels around the world.

If you want to take your pet along on your vacation, you will need to do some research before you make any decisions on where you want to go. You will need to make sure that there are pet friendly motels wherever you want to spend the night. This can be easily done through some of the many websites that list these hotels. Many destinations you might want to visit have hotels like this, though you are more likely to find hotels listed for the more common travel destinations and the larger cities. If you can’t find a listing for a hotel that will allow your pet on the internet, you can also call the hotels in the area where you would like to stay in order to find out if they might allow your pet as they might just not have gotten added to the list yet.

You can find pet friendly hotels around the world, but before making any reservations you should call to double check that they still allow pets, and that they will allow a pet of the type and size of you pet. Rules change from time to time, and websites are not constantlyupdated in a timely manner. Also, you want to find out whether or not their are any dog insurance fees associated with having your pet stay in the hotel with you, as this is often the case.

If you are going to be travelling abroad, even if you can find pet friendly hotels you might want to carefully consider whether or not to bring along your pet as they could be subject to quarantine. Also, you want to make sure that there are safe and comfortable ways to get your pet from your home to your destination. Many animals will not tolerate the cargo hold of a plane for a very long plane ride. Some animals also do not like to travel, or are afraid of new places, and these animals also might be better off left at home.

Below is a partial list of pet friendly hotel chains:

  • Kimpton
  • Quality Inn
  • Suburban Extended Stay Hotels
  • Sleep Inn
  • EconoLodge
  • Comfort Inn & Suites
  • Clarion Inn & Suites
  • Country Inn
  • Red Roof Inn
